Mafia Island Lodge

40 comfortable rooms are set amongst the coconut palms with their own portico overlooking the bay. They are all en-suite with air conditioning. Twin and double beds are available and two family rooms with a large living room. 24-hour hot and cold water is obtainable. The major lodge has a calming impression with a massive open restaurant and bar with pool table and lounge area.

The restaurant provides continental cuisine with an emphasis on seafood. Snacks, sandwiches and refreshments are also available. Bar offers a selection of alcoholic beverages, wines, beers, juices and sodas.

Mafia Island lies approximately 25 kilometres off the Tanzanian coast and 130 kilometres from Dar es Salaam, which takes approximately 35 minutes by air and 45 minutes from the Selous Game Reserve and Zanzibar Island.

Mafia Island Lodge is closed during the rainy season months of April to June, and open between July and March.
